Rings and things

I will arrive in Cape Town 4 weeks exactly from tomorrow! Yes, I'm VERY excited! Yesterday I sorted through all my books and got rid of the ones I'm not bringing- A LOT!- but I'm also keeping quite a few as well. I'll bring over as many as I can, and then Mom will bring the rest when the family comes for the wedding. I simply can't be without my books. There are times when Raoul won't be home, and I will need my books, hehe.

Today I got  a state identification card, which is just a regular photo ID to use when making credit card purchases, flying overseas, etc. I was using my driver's permit for those things, but it expires in a few weeks. The state ID NEVER expires, which will come in handy a few years down the line when we visit the states.

Today I also went shopping with Darryl. I was looking at possibly buying some sandals, but I figure I can get those when needed once I'm in SA (though I have no doubt it will be difficult to find my size there as it is here). What I actually ended up buying was a ring. I'm actually using it in lieu of an engagement ring for now- just for fun. I get a kick out of looking and seeing a diamond-like ring on my finger. We'll get the real ring later- one that suits me better and fits me right (this ring is a tad bit big in both those departments).
