Eureka!

I got some rather bothersome news regarding my wedding dress this past week. Irene had to send off to the states for the steel boning needed to make my dress, and when it finally got here, it turns out they sent her the wrong sized tips for the boning, so she won't be able to use it for my dress, and she'll have to use the plastic boning instead! Fortunately they will send her the right ones and not charge her for it, but it won't get here in time for her to use it for my dress. I'm sure it will all work out fine, but it is frustrating, especially for Irene.

Well, Raoul and I had an exciting day today! We went to Canal Walk and chose and ordered our rings! We're actually both getting titanium rings. My ring is a shiny rounded band with a thin strip of gold "dots" through the middle. (I say dots because the strip is made of little gold circles right next to each other.) I've never been a big fan of gold, so I never thought of getting a two-tone ring, but I tried it on (perfect fit- I was amazed!) and it looked great! The gold in it isn't a really bright yellow gold- it's a more subdued colour, and it looks really nice. Raoul's ring is a bit of a chunkier flat-edged band with a matte finish, except for a polished strip in the middle (assuming they can get that one in his size- if not, it will be a plain matte band). We're both very happy with the rings we chose, and it will be affordable for us as well!
