Dentist (a.k.a. Torture)

This morning, Harmony and I had to go to the dentist. I don't like the dentist under the BEST of circumstances, but knowing I have bad teeth made the prospect of the visit even more unpleasant.  Genetics is such an interesting thing, and very obvious in comparing my teeth to Harmony's. I have very weak teeth, which is probably due to weak enamel, resulting in chipped teeth and cavities. My mom's side of the family is predispositioned to this problem. Harmony on the other hand has cavity-free teeth, but they are VERY crooked, and has given her some slight TMJ (jaw problems), so she needs braces. She gets these problems from my dad's side.

I need 4 molars pulled (eek!), but thankfully my wisdom teeth should come in nicely to replace them, as I'm told they're positioned well. I also need a lot of fillings done. The dentist in the States is EXTREMELY expensive. In total, it would cost $5000 or possibly more to fix my teeth here in the States. Thankfully however, dental care in Mexico is much less expensive, and from what we've seen on the dental websites, they also have better equipment. We only live about an hour and a half from Mexico, so I'll be getting my dental work done there. Wherever I get it done though, I'm NOT looking forward to it!
