It's been a long time since I've blogged, and an even longer time since you've seen a video of Zak. I'm setting both of those things to rights in this post.

Zak will be 11 months old tomorrow. ELEVEN months! It's hard to believe he's almost a year old. I can't believe how big he's grown, and how much he's changed. I remember back when he was a newborn looking at 3-6 month size clothes and thinking they looked enormous. Now he's growing out of some of his 6-12 month size things. We often get parcels sent over here from the family in the USA, since at times they can get things cheaper than we can get them here. However, almost every time a parcel has been sent over, we've had to clash with the South African Post Office.

Why? For one simple reason: the collection notices never reach our post box (mail box, to the Americans reading this). Read more about Post Office woes (again)...

Hannah and I have discussed this point over and over again, since we've both been through Christian counseling, and it didn't help either of us. Today again I saw a link to a site which waxes lyrical about how counseling should be Biblical and whatnot, and I just got fed up again at Christian counseling, and decided to blog about it. Wow, its been a while since one of us has blogged here. Hannah's been busy with her photo blogs, Zak365 and Photo365, and I've been busy with my usual array of Open Source projects, and then we've been kept busy by a certain little boy.

Speaking of a certain little boy, Hannah and I were watching Marley and Me this evening, and I was reminded of many things that we have experienced as parents that I saw in that movie. That said, we don't have an uncontrollable dog ;-) Read more about On Being a Parent...

The Wrapstar is AWESOME. My first Mei Tai, and I got two successful back carries today! (Plus 3 front carries!)

On a side note, I HATE customs. We had to pay the equivalent of $50 just to pick it up from the post office...I could have bought another carrier for that amount- yikes! Read more about Wrapstar Carrier!...

It is CRAZY how active this little guy is! He's definitely advanced on his motor milestones- get a load of this!

I have two new websites! Yep, that's right, ME, not hubby!

I made a New Years resolution to take [at least] two pictures per day- one of Zak, and one of "something else", as Raoul put it. So now I'm the proud owner of two photoblogs (thanks honey)! Read more about I have news! Me! Me! Me! Pick me!...

As most folks know, I listen to a lot of music. There is always music playing in our house when I'm around, and at work I have my earphones plugged in and in between meetings I listen to music to drown out the noise around me.

Last.fm is a site that people can use to track how much they listen to their music, and I've been tracking my music since March 2006. My music player, Amarok, automatically submits each of the songs it plays to Last.fm under my user. Read more about A Last.fm Milestone...

Dear friends and family,

Looking back, we realise this has probably been the most eventful year of our marriage thus far. Raoul moved to a new job, we had a brief holiday in Johannesburg, and Zak was born, to mention a few of the events that happened. Read more about Summing up 2009...

First off, we'd like to wish all our friends and family a blessed Christmas. Having just been through the birth of our first child, Hannah and I took a few minutes to read the story of Christ's birth, and think about what it was really like, and what we thought of it now that we have our own child.
