Last night I was exhausted. Like dead tired. So I decided to take a nap, and wake up later. I hit the hay at about 20:15 last night, and Hannah woke me at 21:00. Would you believe I woke up feeling worse! Read more about A night of sleep...

We'd like to say a warm welcome to Ernie II, the successor to Ernie the First. He arrived today and has speedily made himself at home with the others. This time I didn't get an orange fantail, I got a brownish looking fish, similar to Harry, the more goldfish-looking one. Read more about Ernie II and the Dolphin...

It's really quite hilarious. Darryl had come over this afternoon just to visit, and I jokingly told him, "Darryl! Make our passports get here faster!" (My passport, Mom's, and Dad's would all be coming together.) Of course Darryl couldn't do anything to make our passports get here faster, but I just wanted to give him a hard time. Ernie the fish is now an ex-fish.

I got home this evening to find him floating in the top of the tank. Not unexpected however. He's been looking sickly and swimming funny the last 2 or so weeks, so I've just been waiting for the inevitable.

Oh well, it's off to the pet store on Saturday then to buy Ernie II. Read more about Ernie is dead, long live Ernie!...

What is love REALLY about? What is true love? Find out in my article entitled What is love?

On Sunday, my family and I went to the Renaissance Festival. The "Ren Fest" has been a family tradition since I was probably only about 5 years old, possibly younger. Ren Fest is a traveling fair set up in the style of the European renaissance, usually somewhere in the 1500's. They have many artisan booths selling anything from jewelry trinkets to medieval weaponry; live entertainment such as comedy skits, music, dancing, jousting and a host of other attractions.

Well, yesterday I went to visit the folks for the day out in Paarl. Dad has been whining since goodness knows when about me going to visit them out in Paarl, so in order to quiet him and keep the peace, I freed up yesterday to do the deed.

Anyways, so I pretty much mooched there for most of the day. Didn't really do much. Read more about Visiting the parents...

This morning, Harmony and I had to go to the dentist. I don't like the dentist under the BEST of circumstances, but knowing I have bad teeth made the prospect of the visit even more unpleasant.  Genetics is such an interesting thing, and very obvious in comparing my teeth to Harmony's. I have very weak teeth, which is probably due to weak enamel, resulting in chipped teeth and cavities. My mom's side of the family is predispositioned to this problem.

On Sunday afternoon I started getting a headache. Nothing too unsual about that... just that they usually aren't simple headaches but proper migraines. For some reason I never just get a simple headache, it always turns into a full blown migraine.

So, knowing this, I thought I'd get a Panado (light painkiller), just to see me through church that evening, and then I'd have some Myprodols (heavy painkiller) when I got home, since Myprodols put me to sleep and I don't wanna fall asleep at my drums. Read more about Migraine Troubles...

I've started going through my room; getting rid of things, deciding what I want to take with me, etc. It's a long process and it'll take a while before I'm even close to actualy being packed, but that's ok. I've already gotten rid of 10 trashbags full of clothes, linens, old stuffed toys, etc. Abby has made sure that quite a bit of it will be staying in the house though. It will be a little odd to see her wearing my old clothes before I'm gone, but hey- at least they're out of my closet! Read more about On your mark....Get set....PACK!...
